Reape looks for refurbishment works on footpaths

Fianna Fáil councillor Annie May Reape put forward a notice of motion before the April meeting of the Ballina Municipal District reading: "Under the Active Travel 2021 allocations, as recently announced, I am asking Ballina MD to include footpath refurbishment works in Childers Heights and Moy Heights. I further ask Ballina MD to include improvement works to the pedestrian crossings at Tolan St/O’Rahilly St/Casement St and Bury St in the Ballina Town Transportation Plan."

Independent Ballina councillor Mark Duffy put forward a notice of motion at the April meeting of the Ballina Municipal District calling for a 300 meter extension of the footpath on the Killala road in Ballina to Oaklawn housing estate; and also, in time, allowing it to connect up with the proposed new Culleens National School.
