Aware depression support groups meet every week in three areas in the county — Ballina, Ballinrobe, and Castlebar. The support groups offer a safe and confidential environment for those who experience depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety to come together to share coping skills and provide support and encouragement to one another. The support groups are free and confidential.
The Ballina group meets every Wednesday at 8pm in the Family Resource Centre, Abbey Street, Ardnaree. The Ballinrobe group meets every Thursday at 8pm in the Tacú Family Resource Centre, Credit Union House, Main Street. The Castlebar group meets every Tuesday at 8.30pm in the St Vincent De Paul Centre, Auray Place, at the bottom of Newport Road. A meeting for relatives is held in the Castlebar centre on the first Tuesday of each month at 8.30pm. For more information visit www.aware.ie
