File being prepared for DPP on case of missing Sandra Collins

A man in his 40s who was arrested on Tuesday in relation to the disappearance of Sandra Collins has been released without charge. A file is being prepared for the DPP.

Sandra Collins was last seen in a takeaway shop on George’s Street in Killala at 11pm on December 4, 2000. After a fresh appeal in December, which marked the 10th anniversary of Ms Collins’ disappearance, gardaí appealed for information regarding a white van which was in the Killala area at the time that Ms Collins was last seen.

Ms Collins is described as being 152cm (5ft ) and of slim build. When last seen she was wearing black trousers, a maroon polo neck jumper, a beige sleeveless jacket, and black boots.
