Mayo Cat Rescue desperately needs to raise around €2,000 to trap/neuter/return a number of wild cats living at various locations in Mayo and are hoping their annual 10k sponsored walk which takes place on Sunday October 5 at 11am in Newport departing from Hotel Newport will raise that amount.
Sponsorship cards are available by phoning 098 35920 or donations can be lodged to the Mayo Cat Rescue bank account no 19917184, AIB, Castlebar or sent to Mayo Cat Rescue, Foresthaven, Ayle, Westport. There is also an online blog at www.catrescue.blogsome.com where the public can read all about the cats they help every day.
