21 Outs bring the rock ‘n’ roll on Independence Day

21 Outs bought their rock ‘n’ roll circus to Castlebar last Saturday night as Finbar Hoban Presents…Celebrated Independence Day at Bar Ritz (Mulroys Bar ) with support coming from Galway’s finest, Mugger Dave, plus very special guest Jennifer Evans and The Ripe Intent hailing from Dublin.

Jennifer Evans strolled on to the stage area just after 10pm playing new tracks from recently released single “Scattered”. With Jennifer’s influences ranging from Kate Bush and Townes Van Zant to even a touch of Jeff Buckley you can tell she has a very bright future ahead of her. Mugger Dave arrived onstage at Bar Ritz to a huge round of applause, these guys have quite a following judging by the fantastic welcome they received.

They played tracks from the EP Girly Number 1 such as “The Women” and the really catchy “Got a lot on my mind”.

Mugger Dave’s lyrics are an infectious blend of coy coyness and social satire. It has been a very long time since Castlebar has witnessed a fantastic rock ‘n’ roll group live in town. 21 Outs reminded the crowd of how rock ‘n’ roll should be and always be great fun. 21 Outs mixed their set up from a brilliant rendition of The classic Jimi Hendrix track “Hey Joe” to the old soul track from Ray Charles “I got a Women”. Also playing original tracks like “Wait For Nothing” “Anonymous Slander” these guys never seem to falter when they perform to a live audience.

Coming soon to The Failte Suite, Welcome Inn Hotel, Castlebar, Finbar Hoban Presents... Dirty Epics with support from The Brad Pitt Light Orchestra and local band Orphan Alien plus compeer for the night The Hardy Bucks in association with Coastal Beats and in aid of The Mayo Rape Crisis Centre.
