Teen time fundraising tonight

Anybody who might argue there is nothing for the youth of Athlone to do should put their money where their mouth isn't tonight (March 13 ) in the Bounty Bar on the Two Mile, where a fundraiser is being held in aid of the No Name Club.

The No Name Club is a national organisation for teenagers which provides an alternative to the endemic pub culture and enables young people to organise and enjoy positive alternatives.

Its u18 discos are particularly popular up and down the country and community garda Michael Haugh, with local No Name representative Olive Keyes believes this worthwhile organisation would be ideal for the teens of Athlone.

“It will benefit so many young people in Athlone and its surrounding areas,” said Garda Haugh.

The event tonight is themed as a “Take-Your- Pick” night, a type of Deal-or-no-Deal fundraising challenge.

There is no cover charge on the door and entertainment will be by DJ Shark Sullivan.

Spot prizes and finger food will be served on the night.

All are welcome in this effort to get the No Name club up and running in Athlone.
