Big screen sport at The Prince Bar

It may be nothing but grey skies and rain outside, but you can pretend it’s summer when you settle into The Prince Bar to see the sun shining at the world’s sporting events.

There’s a great offer this week at The Prince Bar during all the sporting action. Enjoy a juicy rib-eye steak cooked to your liking with a pint of your choice, or enjoy three refreshing pints/long neck bottles for €11.

This weekend there is a full listing of sport on the screen -  the European Masters tees off on Thursday in Switzerland, and on Saturday and Sunday there will be plenty of GAA action. The Prince Bar have screens over two floors to enjoy all the sports, so you will be spoilt for choice.

As well as all the sporting events, there’s plenty of live music this week in The Prince Bar. On Wednesday night, it’s acoustic Audio Open Mic, and on Friday night Boithrin-Boithrin will be bringing their energetic set to the stage. The lads, formerly known as The Blaggards, always entertain the crowds.

On Saturday night Kildare lads Whitewater will take to the stage. Rockers Whitewater first blasted onto the Irish music scene in 2006 with the release of their top 20 debut single ‘Original’ charting at number 17. The band then followed with two top 30 singles and a top 40. Their debut album was released in 2009 with rave reviews. Whitewater are a force to be reckoned with on the live scene with a jam-packed setlist, delivered with top class sound and lighting. Don’t miss this must-see show and check out the tour dates for their upcoming shows. The band is now working on new material and is expected to release a new single soon.

Sunday night is reserved for traditional music and dance, and local musicians and dancers entertain young and old every Sunday night from 9.30pm.
