Fancy a summer camp with a difference? Then this is the one for you! There’s no standing around at Rú’s drum camp which will be held in Roscommon Arts Centre from June 30-July 4. As this summer camp, children will be too busy learning to play the drums and a selection of other percussion instruments. They will also get to build ther own instrument, as well as enjoying one-on-one drum kit lessons.
With elements of Samba, improvisation, rock, and popular music, participants will gain an understanding of rhythm with heavy emphasis on fun and creativity, explore African drum-song, and perform as part of an ensemble!
So if you are keen to unleash your inner Dave Grohl or Meg White then this is an opportunity not to be missed.
