Another weekend of sparkling shows at Galway Arts Festival

Musical highlights include Galway favourites Keywest who will take to the stage at Monroe’s Live on Saturday July 28. Róisín Dubh gigs include American folk singer Samamidon whose folksong albums have received wide critical acclaim on Sunday July 29, and Kormac’s Big Band featuring DJ Kormac and his superb barbershop quartet on Saturday July 28.

Classical music fans are in for a very special evening with Singapore’s T’ang Quartet on Saturday July 28 at St Nicholas’ Church, with their concert Comedy & Tragedy combining both cinema and music accompanied by the Buster Keaton silent film Haunted House.

The hugely popular Trad Lunchtime gigs continue at Monroe’s with renowned accordian player Verena Cummins, fiddle player Julie Langan, and Padraig O’Briain on guitar playing on Friday July 27 while fiddle players Tara Connaghan and Derek McGinley perform on Saturday July 28. All shows take place at 1pm.
