BMW confirms pricing for new X3

BMW Ireland has confirmed that the new BMW X3 is going to be even better value than its predecessor.

With a recommended retail price of €45,810 (€46,660 OTR ), it is actually €4,170 less than the outgoing model, yet is equipped as standard with Nevada leather upholstery, two-zone air conditioning, iDrive controller, and colour display.

The BMW X3 is due to be launched in November this year and will initially be available featuring the volume selling engine variant xDrive20d. More engine variants will follow in early 2011.

On top of the very competitive pricing, the second generation of the popular Sports Activity Vehicle will also be much cheaper to run.

And thanks to the new, extremely efficient 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo diesel engine, the BMW X3 xDrive20d now only emits 149 grams of CO2 per kilometre and runs on an average fuel consumption of 5,6 l/100km. Therefore, the X3 xDrive20d is now classed in Band C and just costs €302 road tax per annum.
