St Patrick’s Day parade makes a welcome return to Moate

The Moate St Patrick’s day parade committee has announced the return of the St Patrick’s day parade to Moate on Friday, March 17, commencing at 2.30pm.

Residents of Moate and the surrounding areas are eagerly awaiting the return of the parade which has been notably absent from the town since 2019, the newly formed committee diligently working to organise an entertaining parade since its formation in June 2022.

The parade is being very well supported by the many businesses in the town without which the parade could not take place.

The Mullingar Town Band – Celtic Crusaders will lead the parade from its starting point at The Gap House/Vincent Coughlan’s to its finishing point at the Carmelite Nursing Home.

With a number of themed floats set to participate in the parade, ranging from dancing groups and Vikings to vintage tractors, GAA teams and inflatable characters, entertainment is guaranteed for the watching public. If you wish to enter a float please contact 085 2879298.

Moate is the place to be on Friday, March 17, to celebrate this world-renowned Irish holiday, a family day out not to be missed!
