Dún na Sí Heritage Park has been chosen by Lovestock as its inaugural festival venue with numerous activities primed to take place in the Moate venue on Saturday, September 24 and Sunday, September 25.
Lovestock 22 is Ireland’s first grassroot festival. Where better to kick off their first event than the beautiful Dún na Sí Heritage Park in the Midlands of Ireland. The team at Lovestock, comprised of mental health practitioners, healers and artists have come together to create a space in which our people and communities can unite and heal through the Irish arts and traditions.
Lovestock will be celebrating love, joy, and connection by providing a space to heal and unite people on the land of Eire. The two-day event will consist of traditional Irish music being played on the main stage throughout the two days.
Poets, storytellers and authors will be performing all weekend. Numerous therapies available including sound baths, structural realignment, reflexology and more. Stalls displaying crafts and products including Coleman Power who will on site Sunday to talk all things organic farming. Meditation practices throughout the weekend including Little Peaceful Warriors meditation for children on Sunday.
There are lots of children’s activities including facepainting, hurley burley games, storytelling, and workshops. Children under 12 go free to this event. The event will run from 11am to 8.30pm on Saturday and includes storytelling from Eddie Lenihan and poetry from Cormac Lally. Saturday will come to a close with a fire breather performing in front of the main stage.
The event continues Sunday from 11am, kicking off with an overcoming fear workshop and fire walking. All other activities, including talks from Dr Mary Helen Hensley and a workshop from Breathwave Ireland continue until 5.30pm. There is something for everyone and this event is not to be missed. Free onsite parking.
