Fianna Fáil General Election candidate for Roscommon/Galway, Cllr. Orla Leyden, is the first candidate in the constituency to submit their nomination papers to the Returning Officer.
“I am delighted to meet with Deputy Returning Officer Mary Rafter and her assistant, Olivia Bushell to submit my documentation to confirm my place on the ballot paper.
“The response on the campaign has been positive. It is clear the public mood is one of change and Fianna Fáil can deliver that change.
“Under this Fine Gael Government, Roscommon/Galway has been left behind. Government policy in the areas of housing, health, and frontline public services has failed. On February 8, the public will have their say,” Cllr. Leyden concluded.
