Easter is coming, which heralds the next supper club event at the popular Gaslight Bar & Brasserie at the Hotel Meyrick on Eyre Square. This Easter Saturday, March 31, celebrate your love of chocolate by booking the Taste of Chocolate supper club at €36 for three courses.

Firmly ensconced as Galway’s top casual dining venue, the team at the Gaslight are infusing three courses of great tasting food with hints of luxurious chocolate as well as providing varied options for non-chocolate lovers. For starters, cocoa rubbed pork rib will tickle your sweet fancy, accompanied by tomato and avocado salsa and a smoky chipolata dressing. Non chocolate fans will choose from smoked salmon and goat’s cheese truffle with lime crème fraiche, or a wild mushroom pâté with beetroot salad and toasted brioche.

The main courses feature sage and butter basted supreme of corn-fed chicken with sautéed spinach and a delicious butterbean and chorizo ragout, or an oven baked fillet of Atlantic cod in a bouillabaisse sauce and a saffron rouille. A rich dark chocolate is paired with tender medallions of pork and served with potato rosti and braised red cabbage.

Following a scrumptious feed, the latest Gaslight Supper Club piece de resistance comes from the pastry chef, with a lovely array of desserts including the crowd pleasing chocolate fondant with salted caramel, an unusual chocolate baked Alaska with chilli, or a creamy white chocolate and buttermilk panna cotta with tart raspberries and raspberry coulis, those nutty about cocoa can opt for the lip-smackingly great chocolate and hazelnut praline tart with vanilla bean ice-cream.

Following your meal, sip on the bar's excellent range of bespoke craft cocktails and get into the Easter weekend vibe with the Meyrick house DJ spinning grooves from 10pm ‘til late.

The Gaslight is casual, informal, and the perfect choice for a great night out. The Taste of Chocolate supper club will be a fun evening providing you with an opportunity to eat, sip, catch up, and dance while enjoying the good vibes of Galway. Booking is essential.
