Gardaí have appealed for information following an assault which occurred on University Road in the early hours of Sunday.
A man was walking along the road at around 1.30am when he was approached by a group of youths. One of the youths then attacked him.
The attacker was described as 17 or 18 years of age and around five feet tall. He was wearing blue jeans on the night of the assault.

Meanwhile Gardaí have appealed for information following a hit and run accident on Dominick Street last week.
The incident occurred at 4.30pm on Monday January 26. It is understood a Ford Mondeo mounted the footpath and ran over a pedestrian’s foot. The driver then continued on without stopping.
