Trade union to host Fiscal Compact Treaty debate tonight

Galway Advertiser, May 24, 2012.

The Galway Council of Trade Unions will host a public debate on the Fiscal Compact Treaty tonight at 9pm in the Harbour Hotel, New Dock Road.

The debate will take place in the hotel’s John B Keane Room. The speakers will be Fine Gael TDs Sean Kyne and Brian Walsh, along with Labour TD Derek Nolan, who will argue for a Yes vote.

The No side will be represented by Sinn Féin senator Trevor Ó Clochartaigh; Socialist Party Dublin North TD Clare Daly; and United Left Alliance member and economist Brian O’Boyle. All are welcome.
