Murphy's talented Connacht Schools U18 outfit win interprovincial series

David Tarmey scored five goals in three games at the AUL complex

Alan Murphy's Connacht Schools U18 side won the interprovincial series in impressive fashion at the weekend.

Victories over Munster, Ulster, and Leinster ensured Connacht triumphed in the capital following an action packed three days of football.

Assisted by Alex Lee, Kevin Murphy, and Keith McTigue, Alan Murphy's outfit started brightly on Friday.

Galway United's prolific U17 attacker David Tarmey struck the only goal of the game against Munster.

The following day Connacht cruised to a comprehensive 6-2 success over Ulster with Tarmey registering a hat-trick with Michael Lavin (2 ), and Gerard O'Riordan also contributing goals.

On Sunday Connacht enjoyed a 5-3 triumph over Leinster with the promising Mark O'Halloran, Steven Healy (2 ), Aaron Heaney, and Tarmey netting.
