There have been plenty of talk and plaudits for the attacking return for the Mayo full forward line of 1-10, 1-9 of it coming from play against Kerry last Sunday. While he only registered 0-1 of that total, the influence that Burrishoole's Jason Doherty had on Mayo's ability to get scores was far more influential than a scoreboard analysis will show at first glance.

The Mayo ladies booked their place in the All Ireland semifinal with an impressive quarterfinal win over a hotly tipped Donegal team last Saturday in Mullingar. Mayo manager Frank Browne spoke to the Mayo Advertiser after what was a very satisfying win for his team.

It will be a hectic day of action on Sunday, with 16 games across four divisions taking place in the Mayo League. The league pulled the Saturday evening games and rearranged all the action for Sunday, following Mayo's draw with Kerry in the All Ireland semifinal last Sunday.
In the top division, Manulla will be looking to have pulled level on points with the champions by the time Westport United's coastal derby with Achill Rovers kicks off in The Valley. Manulla will travel to Glenhest Rovers in one of three early kick-offs in the top division looking to pick up their 12th win of the season, the Carramore outfit had last weekend off - as they were not involved in cup action, while Glenhest booked a semifinal spot in the Super Cup, thanks to a 2-0 win away to Achill Rovers thanks to goals from Shane Loftus and Kevin Ward.

Three second half goals sent Mayo in the All Ireland semi-final against Cork in a fortnights time in Mullingar on Saturday. Frank Browne’s outfit showed plenty of fight and heart and no little skill in their win over the Ulster champions. It was a game that had it all, two yellow cards, a six point comeback, a goalkeeper getting injured and plenty of hard hits all over the field.
