Fergal Costello, a former captain of the Mayo and Ballinrobe senior football teams, is to launch Ballinrobe GAA club’s Coaching Plan (2015 to 2020) this evening, Friday, November 28.

All club members, young and old, and GAA supporters are invited to the launch in St Joseph’s Primary School, Ballinrobe, at 8pm. “The young members can come out for the launch, see our plans for the future of their club, and still be at home for the Toy Show at 9.30pm,” noted club chairman Alan Flannery.

Birdwatch Mayo

BirdWatch Mayo, in conjunction with the Mayo Naturalist Field Club, is hosting a talk on the birds of Killala this Saturday November 29. The talk will take place at the Joe Keane Creative Centre, which is located opposite the entrance to the Round Tower, starting at 11am, and is followed by an outing to Killala Harbour and Ross Strand to view the birds of the area. The event will be for about four hours, participants are advised to wear suitable clothing and bring a flask and snack. The event is free of charge. Davitts Winter 5k series

This event is suited to everyone of all fitness levels. Whether you just want to stroll or sprint this event is for you. The cost of the three events is just €15 and all money goes towards the Davitts GAA Club Building Fund. The 5k series is limited to 150 participants so booking in advance is highly recommended.
