The Equality Tribunal wishes to issue a clarification to its decision ES-2003-0437 Ellen Maughan v Traveller’s Friend Hotel in which Mr Des Hynes was quoted as being manager of the Traveller’s Friend Hotel, Castlebar when in fact he wasn’t the manager.

State of mental health services for young people a concern for youth sector

The National Youth Council of Ireland is very concerned by the latest report from the Mental Health Commission stating that 200 young people under 18 were admitted to adult mental health hospitals in 2007 while 113 young people have been admitted to adult units in the first half of 2008.

Cosgallen Community Development Project’s Resource Centre has a free information service on social welfare entitlements, health benefits, education and grants, and many forms are available at the centre, e.g. motor tax, driver’s licence, etc. The Resource Centre also has a number of services available such as photocopying, laminating and others at a very low cost. Drop in for a chat or browse at your leisure from Monday to Thursdays from 10am to 4pm and on Fridays by appointment.
