Applus+ faces fines over NCT delays

Applus+, the company charged with running the national car test could face financial penalties if current problems with bookings for the national car test persist, the Road Safety Authority has confirmed.

The RSA has issued the warning following complaints from motorists that they were unable to book a test inside the six-week window in which appointments can be booked.

Hyundai officially unveiled the all New Hyundai IX35 at the international press test drive in Rome recently. Hyundai Cars Ireland are delighted to announce that the first units of the new Tucson replacement, the IX 35, will arrive into Ireland at the end of March. And Monaghan and Sons, Breaffy Road, Castlebar, is your first and only stop to try one for yourself. The IX 35 will be launched in a 2.0 litre diesel deluxe version first, with a 1.7 litre diesel deluxe version arriving later in the year. While final pricing is not yet decided, Hyundai can confirm that the 2.0 litre diesel engine version will launch at the 1.7 litre diesel price. Hyundai can confirm that the pricing is likely to be below €30,000.
