Big success for Hyundai in January

Speaking at their January press briefing at the Merrion Hotel, SIMI’s Director General, Alan Nolan says that the increase in January car sales is a strong indication that the Government Scrappage Scheme is incentivising people to buy new cars.

2010 road deaths fall to record low

A total of 212 people were killed on Ireland’s roads last year, a record low for the country. However, while a fall in road fatalities, down by 26 on the 2009 figure, is good news, there were still more than 200 too many deaths on our roads, with hundreds more badly injured.

Ten people died during last month, down from 18 in December 2009.
