Serve your local community through the Order of Malta

The Order of Malta in Castlebar is currently recruiting new volunteers.

Castlebar Order of Malta has been in existence since 1943 and provides a wide range of community services such as ambulance and first aid cover at sporting and community events, patient transport services, public first aid training, and community care projects.

The Order of Malta also bring pilgrims to Lourdes every year as part of the Order of Malta International Pilgrimage.

Each Order of Malta unit is self-sufficient and does not receive any Government funding to provide these services.

Castlebar Order of Malta relies on the generosity of the public through fundraising and donations.

The organisation’s annual Christmas raffle raised €3,500 for a new life-saving cardiac monitor for its ambulance.

The Order of Malta relies on volunteers to provide its services.

An open night will take place on Monday February 2 at 8pm at the Order of Malta Castlebar premises, now located in the Golden Mile Industrial Estate, Breaffy Road, Castlebar.

Anyone interested in volunteering, or who would like further information on the Order of Malta, is invited to attend.

For further information contact Donal Geraghty, fundraising and communications officer, on (087 ) 7074514.
