Dazzling jazz trio Phronesis will be playing up a storm at the Linenhall Arts Centre in Castlebar on Monday, February 9, at 8pm.

Praised by The Guardian for their “compositional strength”, “hitching striking themes “and “engaging grooves”  with “improv virtuosity to spare”, Jasper Hoiby (double bass ), Ivo Neame (piano ) and Anton Eger (drums ) are set to deliver an exciting and inspiring live performance in the county town.

The trio has recently toured in Australia, Scandinavia, Germany, Switzerland and the UK, and received an outstanding reception at prestigious international jazz festivals in Vancouver, Edmonton, Rochester, Monterey and Ottawa - a run which has elevated their profile to new heights on the North American jazz scene.

Their latest album, Life to Everything, has been very well reviewed.

They play the Linenhall at 8pm on Monday, February 9.
