The Mayo Teachers’ Golf Alliance 2008/2009 season's fourth outing

Results from third Mayo Teachers Golf Alliance AM AM outing held in Ballyhaunis. 1st prize - team; Tom Prenty, Dots Duffy, Ann McGarry and Josephine McDonagh. 2nd prize - team; Fr Leo Henry, Marion McLoughlin and Sean Burke. 3rd prize - team; Fred Canavan, Mary F Cleary and Nuala Forde. 4th prize - team; John Rowland, Lena Burke, Marina Coyne and Michael Gaughan. 5th prize - team; Martin Halpin, Ita Fahey and Pauline Tierney. Ballyhaunis Golf Club

The G & H Machinery sponsored competition saw L Freeley win out the ladies’ section with a score of 36 points playing off 13. P Glynn came second with a score of 35 off 22, while M Coyne took third place also with a score of 35. P Cunnane won the junior section with a score of 42pts off 19. The gents’ section was won by T Moran with a score of 41 off 6, while J Burke came second three points behind with a score of 38 off eight, G Smyth rounded off the placings with a score of 38 to claim third prize.
