Austen’s Women back at the Linenhall

Rebecca Vaughan makes a highly anticipated return visit to the Linenhall Arts Centre in Castlebar with the brilliant one-woman show Austen’s Women on Thursday, November 17 at 8pm.

In scenes of high comedy and moments of profound pathos, 13 of Jane Austen’s most celebrated female characters, including Lizzy Bennet, Emma Woodhouse, and Marianne Dashwood, are brought vividly to life in this bold revisiting of the most exciting moments from novels including Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, and Emma. A sell-out success at Edinburgh 2009 and Adelaide Festival 2010, Austen’s Women is directed by Guy Masterson and adapted and performed by Rebecca Vaughan for Dyad Productions. A brilliant, illuminating and highly entertaining evocation of Jane Austen’s works - a treat for Austen lovers and the perfect introduction for the uninitiated.
