Castlebar has been selected as the overall winner in the inaugural Town of Excellence in Customer Service with another award for Town of Excellence in Customer Service (Service Sector ) Award going to the Welcome Inn Hotel.
The announcement was made at the Towns of Excellence national conference in Carlow on Wednesday where delegates were in attendance from businesses and towns from all over Ireland.
The key message from Towns of Excellence is that over the next three to five years Towns of Excellence along with businesses and towns around Ireland can build a brand for Ireland as a Country of Excellence in Business Performance. For each region and town the key message is that “we can drive economic activity and we can drive job creation if we drive business performance”.
