Man arrested for drink driving on way home from work

A 58-year-old man, who works as a night porter in a Castlebar hotel, was arrested on his way home from work for drink driving.

Castlebar District Court heard on Wednesday that on January 23 2011 at 8.30am, Noel Campbell, 3 Bohola Road, Kiltimagh was arrested on the suspicion of drink driving. A breath sample was provided at the garda station which showed 62mg of alcohol per 100ml of breath.

The defendant has no previous convictions.The court heard that Campbell had two drinks earlier in the night when he was working. Judge Mary Devins convicted and fined Campbell €400 and disqualified him from driving for two years.
