Five organisations in Mayo are to receive more than €30,000 funding under the Senior Alert Scheme. The funding has been welcomed by Taoiseach Enda Kenny. The five recipients are Ballina Family Resource (€23,164 ); Knock Community Alert (€4,544 ); Killasser Community Alert (€2,812 ); SVdP St Colman’s Conference, Claremorris (€307 ); and Tacu Family Resource Centre (€50 ).
“I have no doubt this recently announced funding will make a serious and positive impact within these organisations,” Taoiseach Kenny said. “This funding is allocated to assist voluntary organisations in aiding elderly residents in their area to remain in their homes. May I also take this opportunity to wish them well in their future efforts and to commend those involved in these organisations.”
