The Chefs of Mayo Club is organising a gala night for Western Care’s St Stephen’s Children’s Respite Service, in the Bay Leaf Restaurant at Horkan’s Garden and Lifestyle Centre, Turlough on Friday November 19.
The night’s entertainment will commence at 7pm with a mulled wine reception and a choral recital by St Joseph’s Secondary School Choir. This will be followed by cookery demonstrations, with a Christmas theme, by members of the Chefs of Mayo Club. There will also be a demonstration by Westport Salsa Dance Group.
The highlight of the night will be a Ready, Steady, Cook! style cook-off between local personalities Johnny Mee and Oliver Kelleher.
To round off the night you can taste delicacies prepared by the Chefs of Mayo, buffet style, while being entertained by the Rambling Rogues, a young lively traditional group from Claremorris.
