Contemplating Flight

An exhibition of paintings by Castlebar artist Agnes Nyland, titled Contemplating Flight, will be launched in Áras Inis Gluaire, Belmullet, on Friday, September 24, at 8pm. Nyland’s work is inspired by the landscape, the sea, birds and fantasy flights. The aim is to present threads of connections between the conscious and the unconscious, the seen with the unseen. Colour is used to accentuate the emotional connections with the subject. What we say and do often have different interpretations, and it is hoped that these works allow viewers to interpret their own visions from what is presented and to travel on wings of fantasy to wherever it may lead in their imagination. The greater joy is that of the imagination allowed to come alive. The exhibition will run until October 19.
