Next is the title of the new exhibition of paintings, prints and more which opened yesterday, August 26, at The Wright Gallery on the Quay in Westport. The show is the latest offering by the Wright Artists collective, a group of locally-based artists comprising Breda Burns, Mags Duffy, Betty Gannon, Pam Gray, Claire Griffin, Mary O’Grady, Gráinne O’Reilly, Susie Quinn, Sinéad Wall and Ian Wieczorek. This vibrant new exhibition is the third in an ongoing series planned for the artist-run gallery, located in Sue Wright’s former craft shop situated directly opposite the Custom House Studios.

Since its opening in June this year, the Wright Gallery has established a growing reputation for its high-quality exhibitions, drawing a steady influx of visitors both local and from further afield. Next certainly looks set to live up to expectations. The show runs until September 23, when a brand new show by the Wright artists will be unveiled. The Wright Gallery is open Thursday to Monday inclusive, from 11am to 6pm daily. For more information check out their blog at thewrightartists.blogspot.com or call 087 7719380.
