Marú Inár Measc is a four-part true crime documentary series by Midas Productions for TG4, which shines a light on the effect that fatal crimes have on society, local communities and on the victim’s families as they are left without answers.

"This series could not have been made without the co-operation of each family who shared their story and allowed us the privilege of filming with them", said Midas Productions.

Episode three, which airs on Wednesday, June 1 at 9.45pm, recalls the brutal murders of Jack and Thomas Blaine on July 10 2013. Castlebar woke up to the tragic news around the town that brothers Thomas and Jack Blaine, who were well-known around the town, had been brutally murdered. Alan Cawley was convicted of their murder in 2017.

The elderly brothers lived a quiet and simple life, cared for by the community surrounding them and the tragic ending of their lives meant that the whole community of Castlebar grieved together.

This documentary includes interviews with the brothers’ family and members of the community, who cared for Jack and Thomas and who give deeply personal accounts as to how this brutal and horrific murder has impacted them and changed the landscape of Castlebar forever.
