My Fair Lady’s Terry to score hat trick

Midway through the intense rehearsal schedule, the cast and crew of My Fair Lady are starting to get really excited as they see a love story unfold, or a relationship that is perhaps more defiant than romantic. Part of the reason for the euphoria is the fact, that this is the society’s third time to stage this production since 1974, and they’re dying to show off their grand and refreshing new musical. PRO for the society Joan Larkin, promises audiences they are in for a treat. “How often do you get to see a classic musical stage with the brilliance it deserves, and cast in a way to grant an audience the additional pleasure of seeing it for the first time?”

This year, Terry Jackson stars in the role of Alfred P Doolittle. This isn’t Terry’s first time to play this role, nor is it his second, it’s going to be Terry’s third time to take on this challenging and energetic role. Doolittle gives the show some sweeping and energetic dance numbers, and adds a little bit of stomp, with his two side-kicks Jamie and Harry, played by Damien Buckley and Ian Munt.

“Accents and dialects play a big role in My Fair Lady, and Terry’s performance with these will be flawless. Watching him at rehearsals you can see he’s going to make a deliciously amoral Alfred P Doolittle licking his chops at his new found luck,” says Joan.

Another frontliner is that of Colonel Pickering played by the well known Alfie Kilduff. Alfie’s performances are always top class and this year will be no exception.

This will be a show that promises to excel with lavish sets, costumes, and the most enthusiastic actors imaginable. The ideal show for children to be introduced to the pleasures of live theatre at its best.
