Win a Ford Fiesta this Christmas by donating €2 to The Care Trust

The Care Trust (TCT ), one of the country’s longest established specialist charity fundraisers, has just launched a giant one-off year-end text-to-win car raffle to generate extra funds for children and adults with disabilities and those in need of specialist residential and day support and care therapies.

The Care Trust is an independently operated registered charity (CHY 13691 ) raising funds for the work of Rehab, the Central Remedial Clinic (CRC ) and the Mater Hospital.

For just €2 (a minimum of €1.63 will go to TCT ), competition entrants can text TCTPRIZE to 50300 for the chance to win a 2017 Ford Fiesta before Christmas. The competition is part of a major end-of-year push by The Care Trust to hit an end-of-year target of €2.5m.

The funds will go to help children and adults like Jack, who attends school at the CRC where he has progressed amazingly well, made many new friends, and has something new to share with his family on his computer every evening; Molly, who is 12 years old, has autism and is non-verbal. She attends Rehab’s Meadows facility in Navan where she has her own room which gives her a place to be independent as she enters her teenage years, while also having staff to support her and keep in touch with family; Patrick, Ireland’s youngest heart transplant recipient in 1993 at the age of 11 at the Mater Hospital in Dublin, who is now 33, and married with two children. In July this year, he won two golds and a silver medal in the European Heart and Lung Transplant Championships.

“Jack, Molly, Patrick and their families are typical of the many thousands of people whose lives benefit greatly from the specialist care and support provided by our beneficiaries every day, 365 days a year,” said Care Trust CEO, Dr Senan Mullins. “We have a long record of supporting that work to enhance and empower young and not so young, to live life to the full. Through this grand prize draw we want to end this year on a high note on their behalf.”

The competition is open until 11pm on Thursday, December 22. The lucky winner will be drawn at random on the following day. See for more information.
