New upgrades offered on two Peugeot models

Peugeot says that it will offer new engines and equipment enhancements on the Peugeot 3008 and 5008 MPV for 2016. Active level two models now boast Peugeot’s stylish ‘cielo’ panoramic roof and climate control as standard, whilst Allure level three models gain satellite navigation.

The popular Peugeot 5008 MPV ‘Active Family’ version now comes with full leather upholstery for easier maintenance to suit family needs.

New petrol and diesel Euro 6 engines have been introduced for 2016; Peugeot remains a European leader in highly efficient, low CO2, low consumption engine technology, today marketing 25 best-in-class engines across its range.

Peugeot also says that their 3008 crossover, a former Continental Irish Car of the Year winner, is the perfect choice for customers looking for excellent performance and a higher driving position. It comes as standard with a unique split tailgate and three-position boot.  Grip Control technology is an optional extra.

The seven-seater Peugeot 5008 compact MPV’s popular Active Family model is equipped with a Peugeot Connect Video Pack with video screens set into headrests, complete with two Bluetooth headsets, to help keep little people occupied on long journeys.

It has CO2 emissions from 115g on the 3008 and from 129g on 5008, qualifying for €200 and €290 annual road tax, respectively. Peugeot adds that with reduced consumption / CO2 (-18 per cent ) compared to a traditional four-cylinder unit, over 200,000 units of this celebrated three-cylinder petrol unit have now been produced in Europe, such has been demand in 2015.

The new Euro 6 version of the 1.6 120bhp BlueHDi diesel engine with six-speed manual gearbox has been introduced, offering more power, yet less consumption than its predecessor and qualifying for €190 annual road tax in the case of the 3008 (108g Co2 ), €200 in the case of 5008 (113g Co2 ).

A claimed highly efficient six-speed fully automatic version of the same 1.6 120bhp BlueHDi engine emits just 108g and 112g CO2, respectively, remaining in the same road tax bands.

A new performance-driven 2.0 150bhp BlueHDi diesel engine, with emissions as low as 112g CO2 (€200 annual road tax ) is now also available on the 5008 for 2016.
