December date for mezzo soprano Catherine Finerty

Catherine Finerty’s rich, dramatic mezzo soprano voice has graced the stage of many esteemed venues throughout the country and she is looking forward to her debut performance in Tuar Ard, Moate on Friday, December 4.

Catherine will perform a wide variety of songs on the night including ‘Nella Fantasia’, ‘The Prayer’, ‘You Raise Me Up’, ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ and many more crowd favourites. Catherine studied voice with both Niamh Murray and Deirdre Cooley Nolan at the National University of Ireland, Maynooth where she also attained a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Music and English and a Master’s degree in Performance and Musicology.

On the night, accompaniment will be provided by the highly renowned pianist Katherine Crossen. Katherine is a native of Dublin who lived in the USA for many years before recently returning to Ireland and settling in Tullamore. Katherine studied piano in Leinster School of Music under Winifred Rankin and then in DIT with Maeve McSwiney; where she also completed her LRSM teaching diploma. She has been teaching for countless years and since her return from the USA she has been equally sought after as an accompanist.
