Enchanting theatre experience for children

Roscommon Arts Centre has the perfect Easter treat for little ones this April! Monkeyshine Theatre Company present The Paper Princess, based on the book by Elisa Kleven on Thursday April 9 at 12pm and 2pm, an enchanting theatre experience for children.

Everyone is invited to a party! There’s glitter and sparkles, a tiny theatre, and a magical story to be told. The audience are invited to a birthday party where a table of colours and sparkles is laid out ready for them. They are encouraged to make their very own paper prince or princess, then invited to gather in front of the toy theatre.

The birthday girl tells the audience about her own paper princess that she made the day before and how it blew away in a gust of wind. As the story begins the little theatre comes to life and the paper princess blows through a beautiful world made of paper, lit by tiny theatre lights and accompanied by live music and sound-scapes.

So roll up your sleeves, open your ears, and sit down and watch as the paper princess is whisked away, up into the sky, out into the world.

This is an enchanting theatre experience for children of three years and up. It’s the perfect Easter outing!

Early booking is advisable as there is limited capacity. Tickets can be booked from Roscommon Arts Centre on (090 ) 6625824 or online at www.roscommonartscentre.ie
