Athlone Little Theatre presents Witness for the Prosecution

Everyone loves a good thriller and there is none better than an Agatha Christie thriller.

Witness for the Prosecution is a fantastic tale of intrigue, with plot twists to keep the audience guessing right to the end.

Leonard Vole is being tried for the murder of a rich widow, Emily French. Did he do it? It doesn’t look good for him! Will the evidence of his wife Romaine help him or will it condemn him? You will have to come to the theatre in October and find out.

Mel O’Flynn directs this superb story and she is no stranger to it, having played the main character herself some years ago, with her usual aplomb. It has a stellar cast including Aoife Connolly reprising Mel’s role as the wife, Romaine. Also we see a welcome return to the stage of Billy Nott as the judge, with Ian Munt in the role of Leonard Vole.

With other fantastic actors such as Richard Brennan, Ann Blackie, Olive Martin, Paul Slevin, Frank O’Brien, Sally Knight, Edel Moriarty, Paul Breen, Pearse Murphy, and the theatre’s newly elected chairman Alan Shaw, Mel is sure to have a winner on her hands.

The play opens on Wednesday October 1 and runs for eight nights until Wednesday October 8. Curtain is up at 8pm. For bookings or more information call (090 ) 6474324.
