The Prince Sandwich Bar is exceptionally popular both with locals and visitors to the town, and their recently launched menu features a range of options all prepared in front of you.

Valerie and the sandwich bar team prepare all the ingredients fresh every morning, and there is also some delicious home baking available every day to treat yourself.

If you’re looking for some lunchtime inspiration, there are tasty but healthy specials on the menu every day, ranging from stuffed pitta breads to salad plates, and not forgetting their delicious open sandwiches on their homemade brown bread.

If you fancy something hot, there are fresh soups every day, as well as homemade quiches and sausage rolls. Of course, you can also relax with a Lavazza coffee, latte, cappuccino, or your choice of a wide range of herbal teas.

The Prince’s sandwich bar is open Monday to Saturday from 9am until 4.30pm. Why not call in and see what delicious healthy options Valerie and her team have created for you today?

Wholesome carvery lunch

Head chef Darren Hollywood joined the Prince team before Christmas, and is passionate about creating dishes using the best local ingredients, using his knowledge of international cuisine and culinary skills to put a twist on traditional Irish food.

The Prince’s famous carvery lunch is thriving under his guidance, with customers getting to enjoy tasty dishes such as Asian marinated pork belly, hearty pies, and many more tempting dishes.

Every day the carvery menu offers a wide selection of wholesome lunch options, with a range of succulent roast chicken, beef, pork, and fish dishes. The menu is changed daily, with up to seven different options every day, as well as a choice of three vegetables, two potato dishes, and a selection of sauces.

With a focus on meat from Irish suppliers, and wholesome, fresh food, chef Darren Hollywood provides two roast options every day, as well as a chicken dish, a ‘wet dish’ such as stew or curry, and a vegetarian option. As always, the emphasis is on freshly prepared food; all vegetables are freshly prepared rather than bought in pre-packed.

Whether you’re opting for a carvery dish or something from the salad bar, you’ll find a choice of desserts to satisfy your sweet tooth, from homemade gateaux to cheesecakes.

Freshly baked goods

The Prince is the perfect town centre spot to catch up with a friend over a slice of cake and a cuppa!

A new chapter began at The Prince Bar and Kitchen recently with the opening of their in-house bakery. Delicious cakes, tarts, and breads are available to take away each day all made by the Prince’s dedicated pastry chef Liz Carey and her team.

If you would like to bring some of Liz’s baking back to your home, inside the front door you’ll find a fantastic array of freshly baked breads, irresistible cakes, and jams on sale - all made by The Prince’s in-house pastry chef Liz Carey.
