Bank holiday fun at The Prince

The bank holiday weekend is fast approaching bringing with it the St Patrick’s Day festival!

This is the time of year when Irish pride kicks in and we celebrate our national heritage. At The Prince, Athlone they are looking forward to the great St Patrick’s weekender.

Friday kicks off with local band Three Men and a Little Lady in the bar, and there’s a late bar until 2am.

UV5 are back by popular demand on Saturday March 15. UV5 are known for being a high energy party band and cover chart-topping artists including LMFAO, Calvin Harris, Jason Derulo, as well as Guns n Roses, Rage against the Machine, and much more!

Sunday brings with it the lively Galway-based band Dakota who are known for their powerful mix of current hits to old-school rock. The Prince looks forward to welcoming them to Athlone this Paddy’s weekend.

On St Patrick’s Day itself The Hoppy Bar Stars kick off just after the parade at 3.30pm. Favourites among locals, this band is not to be missed and a perfect climax to the parade.

With the weather looking to hold out make sure to try out the Prince BBQ which is the perfect way to celebrate the long-awaited spring weather. With food being served all day in The Prince you will be left spoiled for choice - whatever tickles your fancy!
