Sangoma Therapies and Training is a natural medicine clinic and registered training college in the centre of Athlone. Having recently relocated to Scotch Parade (above Behans Fruit and Veg ), Sangoma’s owner, Nicola Ryan, is a well known figure in the natural and complementary health sector in Athlone and in Ireland, with extensive experience managing clinics and lecturing both locally and in Dublin, UK, and USA.

Sangoma offers a comprehensive range of natural and complementary therapies and treatments within a professional and clinical setting. The treatments and therapies promote and stimulate physical, emotional, and psychological health and well-being. Sangoma’s highly qualified therapists practice with a view to delivering real and long-lasting physical and psychological benefits across a wide range of conditions and ailments.

Therapies currently on offer include health screening such as Food Intolerance, Liver and Body Weight and Food testing, Holistic Massage, Sports Therapy and Neuromuscular Therapy, Hopi Ear-candling, Aromatherapy, Daoyin Tao (Chinese head, neck, and face massage using acupressure points ), Indian Head Massage, Hot and Cold Stone Therapy, Alexander Technique, and many more. New therapies are added regularly and, in addition, Sangoma offers very specialist treatments such as Massage for Cancer Care, Naturopathy, Herbalism and Homoeopathy, as well as psychotherapies such as Hypnotherapy, Life Coaching, and Counseling.

Nicola Ryan is available for Natural Health Consultations, helping individuals treat their conditions with natural treatments and supplements or in conjunction with GP treatments.

Sangoma also offers a range of general interest workshops for anyone interested in learning skills to help improve their own or their family’s natural health and lifestyle - these include Meditation, Baby Massage, Stress Management, and Personal Development/Positive lifestyle courses.
