Number of GAA coaching courses now available to Southern Gaels mentors

There are a number of coaching courses available to Southern Gael’s mentors over the next two months with a view to upskilling the club’s coaching cohort.

These cover a wide range of topics starting at a Foundation Level course essential for all new coaches. Most courses take two or three sessions at most. New and existing members interested in developing their skills and helping out the club should contact club Juvenile Secretary Frank Lee 087 2238088 and he will discuss all the options with you.

Return to training

Adult training resumes on Wednesday, February 8, at 8pm in Páirc Chiaráin. Training nights will be Wednesday and Friday. There will be an additional session on the weekends when there is no league fixture. The league commences the second week of March with Southern Gaels in Division Two of the All County League. Juvenile training will begin shortly and parents will be contacted by all coaches.

A book will be published detailing the clubs history. Anyone with stories or photographs of interest contact Kevin Jordan 087 7989941. There will also be a club Dinner Dance on Saturday, June 24.
