Established in 1993, the aim of Vita House Family Centre is to provide a welcoming location that contributes to the dignity of every person, where families and individuals are encouraged and supported to develop their true potential.

This year Vita House Family Centre were delighted to open their own premises, Vita House Outreach at Monksland Civic Centre. While they have catered for individuals and families from this location for many years, having their own premises in the area has afforded Vita House Family Centre the wonderful opportunity to see clients at their nearest location.

Vita House Family Centre provides low cost affordable counselling and psychotherapy to individuals, children, adolescents, couples and families. They have highly qualified professional psychotherapists who are skilled in working with a wide and varied range of presenting issues, meeting the needs of families, children, young people and individual adults.

Vita House’s counselling service focuses on supporting good mental health and well-being, while the family therapy service provided has a strong emphasis on family relationships and an objective of their service is to ensure that children grow up in a healthy caring family environment.

Roscommon Cancer Support provides free support services to enhance recovery from a cancer diagnosis available to the diagnosed person, their children and family members. Services include counselling, reiki, massage, reflexology, body talk, yoga, pilates, well-being courses and social support groups activities.

The team at Vita House is passionate about their work and the client is always our most important factor. They feel privileged to work as part of such a wonderful organisation and are continually striving to adapt their programmes and activities to provide the best service to the people of our community.

While they are lucky to receive some state funding, the majority of their work is made possible through the generous donations and fundraisers from the people within the community. It is always an honour when a client chooses to fundraise on their behalf in particular when they have been able to provide a worthy service to them in their time of need.

If you would like to donate, volunteer or fundraise on their behalf or avail of the services provided please visit http://vitahouse.org/support-us, email [email protected] or call Vita House Family Centre on 0906625898.
