Live performance returns to intimate surrounds of Athlone Little Theatre

Live performance returns to the intimate surrounds of Athlone Little Theatre in March, two one act plays certain to enthral local audiences.

‘Tell Me Another Story, Sing Me Another Song’

Directed by Chrissie Killian and Doreen Holloway, the play is a witty exploration of the irritations and misunderstandings that build walls between a mother and her daughter and the love and compassion that destroys these walls. The story spans the crisis and humour of childhood, adolescence, adulthood and old age.

‘Wittgenstein in the West’

Directed by Billy Nott, this play centres on a German professor who comes to the west of Ireland for some peace and quiet and to work on his “philosophical investigations”.

He is looked after by a local couple Din-Jo and his wife Peig Cait and this relationship proves to be somewhat problematic.

Both plays will perform at Athlone Little Theatre from Sunday, March 6 to Sunday, March 12 inclusive.

Tickets, priced €10, are available online at www.athlonelittletheatre.ie
