Patrons encouraged to wear face coverings in Golden Island SC

Management at Golden Island Shopping Centre has confirmed that the wearing of face coverings is now required for those who choose to shop within the facility.

In a statement issued on the Golden Island Shopping Centre Facebook page, management has requested that members of the public respect the safety measures now in place.

Speaking to the Athlone Advertiser, Pat O’Toole, Manager, Golden Island Shopping Centre, noted that those who do not wear a face covering upon entry to the facility will not be turned away but strongly encouraged their use while shopping on site.

“We await further health and safety guidelines from the Government and NPHET with regard the mandatory wearing of face coverings within an eclosed setting but for the moment, I would encourage all patrons to wear a face covering while shopping in the centre,” Pat asserted.
