Miss Westmeath competition open for applications

The search is on for Miss Westmeath contestants with the winner of this prestigious competition representing the county in the national Miss Ireland final to take place later this year. The Westmeath selection will be held in Karma Athlone on Thursday, June 6.

Established in 1947, Miss Ireland has proven to be a launch pad for many influential, successful and empowering women. Winners of the Miss Ireland pageant go forward and represent Ireland at a global level, in Miss World.

The competition has not only been successful for the overall winners of the coveted crown, but also for finalists who have been part of this competition previously and credit Miss Ireland for helping build their confidence, self-esteem, interview and media skills; all elements that they have gone on to use in their chosen professional careers.

The winner of Miss Westmeath will be signed to Catwalk Models and agency owner, Mandy Maher, speaks highly of the contest.

“I would recommend any young lady to take this opportunity to enter a competition like this as it can open up so many doors for you, give you confidence you may not know you even have and the experience it will give you is priceless,” Mandy remarked.
