A 19-year-old NUIG arts student who broke a man’s nose outside a nightclub in Castlebar was before court this week.
Ronan McNea, Rosturk, Mulranny, pleaded guilty to assaulting Damien Basquill outside Mantra nightclub, Castlebar, on January 17 2010.
Judge Mary Devins directed that McNea pay €500 in compensation and applied the Probation Act in respect of the section three assault charge.
