Westport electoral area councillors took the opportunity at their planning meeting on Clare Island to congratulate Peter Hynes on his imminent appointment as county manager.
Mr Hynes was wished well by Councillors Margaret Adams, John O’Malley and Austin Francis O’Malley.
Senior Executive Officer Martin Keating, on behalf of the staff, also wished Mr Hynes well in his new position.
