Kathleen McDonnagh, 35 Cois Abhainn, Turlough Road, Castlebar pleaded guilty to the theft of a quilt valued at €59.99 from Guiney’s, Market Square, Castlebar.

Garda Hugh O’Donnell told the court that at 2.30pm on October 14 2009, he got a report that a minor in McDonnagh’s company picket up the quilt and ran off with it. The report came from an off duty member of the Gardaí who told him what had happened.
